![]() ![]() ![]() All in all it sounds to me like you've installed faulty drivers (reinstall), and your front panel USB connection is poor (try reconnecting the front panel connector to the pins of your motherboard).Īnd don't be ridiculous, there is no ESD from the carpet that can get into your chassis. Can you answer how long you've had this microphone? I am assuming you just bought it. That's why I asked if you keep your computer on the desk, because the USB Blue Yeti microphones are desk microphones. Anyone else who does professional recording will tell you the same thing. I have a home recording studio, and I keep my computer on a desk, but this very reason is why I keep my microphones suspended or on shock mounts which exist for a reason. Because the thing with having a computer and microphone on a desk is that sometimes fans and whirring hard drives from the computer will create vibrations for the surrounding area, even if you think they aren't. Optimally yes, nothing wrong with keeping your desktop on the floor or at least making sure you have proper isolation. Of course i have my Desktop on a desk, Where else am i sapossed ot put it? on the carpeted floor? If you see someoen without there computer on a desk it's very unwise and uncommon to not have it on a desk away from Carpet, Static, ect. ![]()
